On the Amsterdam ringway ("Ring Amsterdam") take exit S118 Oostzanerwerf/Tuindorp-Oostzaan. On the Verl.Stellingweg, at the traffic light, turn right onto the Molenaarsweg, following the directions "Tuindorp-Oostzaan/Noord". Follow this road, which makes a left turn, and then is named Cornelis Douwesweg. Keep following this road, passing two roundabouts, until you reach a crossing with traffic lights. At the lights, turn right, onto the Klaprozenweg. The dark grey building on the right-hand side is where Benjamins is located. Unfortunately our building does not have parking space for visitors. However, if you drive around the building, and then follow the road to the left, there is an area with free public parking spaces.
By public transportation
From Amsterdam Central Station, there are several options.
Ferry to NDSM-wharf: This free ferry departs from the ferry landing at the back of the Central Station every hour at .15 and .45 (and, during morning and evening rush hours, at .00 and .30). It takes just under 15 minutes to reach "NDSM werf", which is in walking distance from our office. When you leave the ferry, continue straight ahead along the Van Riemsdijkweg. When you pass the colorfull container village (a student housing project) turn left onto the Oslofjordweg. Turn right at the third side street, Lincolnweg. At the end of this street you will see, across the road, two similar dark grey buildings; JB is in the second one of these.
Bus #35, direction "Molenwijk", departs from the bus station to the left of the Central Station. After about 10 minutes, get off the bus at the stop "Ataturk". From there it is a 5-minute walk to our office building. From the stop, walk back to the intersection where the bus turned right, and cross at the traffic lights first to the other side of the Ataturk street, and then across the Klaprozenweg. Continue along the Klaprozenweg, crossing one side street, until you reach another intersection. The dark grey building across the street to your left is your destination.
Taxi: When exiting the Central Station through the main, city-side, exit, you will find a taxi stand to you right. Please note that taxi's in Amsterdam are very expensive!
Time tables etc. can be found on the public transport information site www.9292ov.nl.
Arriving at Schiphol airport
Taxi's in Amsterdam, and in the Netherlands in general, are very expensive. The 15-minute ride from the airport to the city centre will cost EUR 30-40 (including VAT, excluding tip).
There is a good and frequent train connection from Schiphol to Amsterdam Central Station, in the city centre. Train tickets can be purchased from the machines or the ticket windows in the main hall -- "plaza" -- at the airport. A single ticket is approx. EUR 4. The train ride takes approximately 15 minutes. Please make sure you have a ticket before boarding the train.
