This paper on apology strategies examines three research questions: what patterns of intra- and intercultural variability are observable in the selection of apology strategies by Thai NNS of English as compared to NS of Thai and American English, how are contextual factors in a variety of offense contexts perceived and how do they determine the selection of apology strategies.
