Annotation

It was found that narrative talk was more frequently produced by the Norwegian families, while explanatory talk was more frequent in the American data. These findings were related to Norwegian and American cultural values, highlighting, in turn, the culturally specific ways of talking, as well as the socializing aspect of mealtime conversations.
