Annotation

This analysis of trilingual -Castilian, Catalan and English- service encounters in Barcelona demonstrates that, alongside service-related tasks, participants carry out 'medium-related' activities drawing on their linguistic identities, thus confirming G.'s earlier argument that language preference is to be considered as a membership categorization device.
