Annotation

This reconstruction of Sapir's lectures consists of two main parts. The first is devoted to the concept of culture, and offers the conventional arguments against racial, psychological, economic and environmental causes of culture. The second discusses the individual's place in culture, but the 'psychatric' perspective is never really worked out.
