Annotation

This paper explores the notion of “appropriateness” in foreign language use, acquisition and teaching. Employing a participant-based emic approach, the study examines multilinguals' perceptions of appropriateness in their foreign languages, developed as part of their socialisation in a new language/culture, and the way they deal with it.
