Annotation

This article reviews research on a specific cultural problem in modern English-Arabic translation, viz. Pedagogical metaphors in popular science articles. A set of translation strategies is deployed to meet the cultural presumptions and experience of the Arab readership, pointing out that popular science varies culturally.
