Annotation

An attempt to show that the semantic space involved in speech acts is actually a continuum instead of a discrete categorization, through the analysis of sixteen Japanese sentence final particles which seem to represent the lexicalization of a non-discrete speech act continuum between declarative and interrogative. The analysis is based on conversational exchanges extracted from Japanese novels.
