Abstract

This book aims to develop a workable method for the quality assessment of translations and for the development and steering of translation and interpreting processes. Translation services are seen as a part of an industrially developed product. It must therefore be possible to assess and steer their quality. This book deals with the relationship between theoretical bases and the concept of process-oriented quality management and the transfer of this know-how on the translation practice.
