Abstract

The notion of “quality” is fuzzier than ever. Within the context of the “useful quality” concept, many elements come into play: text categories, translators’ level and revisers’ level, in addition to a number of factors that influence translation and revision management and dictate decisions as to how to correlate translators and revisers in the most effective manner. Moreover, qualities consisting of techniques and methods aiming at ensuring the quality of products and services with minimal costs and controlling risks is gaining importance within globalization. Quality control takes a number of forms. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the multifaceted translation-revision equation and interplay, develop methods for optimal translation management and efficient translator training, and explore a course of action for solving pending snowballing problems.
