This book deals with the theoretical foundations and the practical work of translating technical texts. On the basis of these two viewpoints, hypotheses are made with respect to practice-relevant translation didactics and a theoretically justifiable translation criticism. This integrated approach is chosen in order to bridge the gap between Translation Studies and practice.
