Annotation

R. argues that the ways in which English speakers conceptualize communication are reflected in and largely determined by the semantic structure of the English phrases available to talk about communication. According to R. the dominant conceptualization pattern emerging from English presents language as a 'conduit'. A lot of evidence is presented and some interesting implications are pointed out.
