An optimal profession qualification requires up-to-date training. In view of the revolutionary developments in the translation industry, it has become necessary that universities, for their curriculum planning, have up-to-date and reliable data at their disposal about the professional experiences of their graduates. Also for those entering the profession and for experienced translators and interpreters is good to know what the market requirements are. This volume presents the results of the first international survey among translators and interpreters with a university degree in translation. Over 2600 graduates from CIUTI institutes in 19 countries answered an online questionnaire with 97 questions. This book discusses the collected data and at the same time provides a methodological example for alumni surveys, that are for instance necessary when applying for an EMT quality label.
