Abstract

Most of the articles in this special issue are culled from a conference held in Quebec in May 2002. Focusing on translation and teaching, the articles explore issues such as the didactics of medical translation, legal translation, the role of a translation theory course in a professional training programme, the preparation towards specialized translation via specialized language teaching, technology in translation teaching, the use of translation memories in class, curriculum design and other topics.
