This publication consists of five studies. The first analyzes humor in Don Quixote, as well as the problems of its translation. The second contribution contrasts two of the best Arabic translations of the work: those of al-Ahwani and Badawi. The third work focuses on the study of the translation into German of the different Arabic elements in Don Quixote, analyzing the versions of Tieck (1800), Braunfels (1883) and Lange (2008). The fourth chapter analyzes the study published by the Saxon intellectual Biedermann in relation to the French version of this work by Louis Viardot. The last contribution is a detailed analysis of translation techniques and strategies applied to the same fragment of the original text in five English versions of the Cervantes novel.
