Abstract
Larsen analyses the translation techniques used by Aegidius Albertinus and speculates about Albertinus's motivations in making alterations and omissions. He focuses mainly on Albertinus's devotional works Hirnschleiffer (1618) and Himlisch Frauenzimmer (1611). In his article, the term 'translation' is used in a broad way including not only the transformations that occur when a work or theme is moved from one literary genre to the other but also from one art form to another.
