This is a presentation and analysis of existing corpus of translations of Israeli Arabic literature into Hebrew, based on Even-Zohar’s Polysystem Theory and from the point of view of the target culture and audience. The overall picture is that of a vigorous efforts of a group of translators to change the existing marginal status of the sub-system and of its small, though gradually growing due to social and political processes, acceptance by Israeli readers.
