Abstract
The present article analyses the characteristics of journalistic translation and discusses how this topic is covered in stylistic manuals. The author mainly focuses on the general press. The corpus used consists of translated articles from 1996 to 2005 which appeared in El País, El Mundo, La Vanguardia, ABC and La Razón.
