Forms of address in historical and geographical context
The four articles in this section represent an important contribution to the linguistic and extralinguistic analysis of the forms of address employed in Hispanic America and Spanish-speaking areas of the United States. After offering a summary of the key points discussed in each paper, the present response outlines the contributions each paper makes to the research field, and closes with general remarks.
